MORE ABOUT ME

My introduction to photography was in the late 1990s as a fledgling journalist for the Morehouse College newspaper, The Maroon Tiger.

Over time, my confidence grew and at my wife's urging, I got serious and took classes to learn as much as I could about photography.

In 2016, I founded Joe Carlos Photography and within days shot my first wedding. Five years later, I've been blessed to capture images of hundreds of families during milestones in their lives that have become precious memories.

It is my absolute honor to shoot photos of families and to be the official chronicler of their lives. My wife tells me that I show my love for others through how I shoot photographs; with compassion, sincerity and heart.
