emma is one!

I first met Emma when she was nine months old. I was shooting photos of her aunt's wedding, and in the midst of the abstract business that goes into a wedding during quarantine, the energy of a bright eyed baby girl makes everyone pause, laugh and enjoy the moment even more. Emma made everyone relax and chuckle as she crawled and climbed and did everything she could to be as adorable as humanly possible.

Sophia, her mom, contacted me and asked if I could come over and shoot one year photos and I was so honored to accept.

I went to Sam Flax and got a new purple backdrop that looked amazing on film and after I set it up with my off-camera flash and a consistent strobe, we were off and running on the shoot.

Emma had a ball, and I had so much fun shooting photos of her as she smiled, laughed, explored and continually crawled from the wonderful spots that her darling parents had created on the backdrop. But we all laughed every time she crawled or walked away from the pictures because well, she is one and so adorably cute that you can't help but laugh enjoy the wonder you see in her eyes.

I can't wait to shoot more photos of her in the future! Happy Birthday Emma!
